Frustratingly just the two of us this evening. No matter, we’ll still get something useful done. Another warm trip through Chamber 20 to LoH&G.
At the dig, Sam went down the pot and started filling bags and hammering away at the calcite-covered walls. Annoyingly we could not find the chisel which would have been very useful (I’ll bring another one next visit). I hauled up the filled bags and dragged (most of them) through the awkward squeeze to the wider passage beyond. Sam filled 10 bags, I went down into the pot to have a look at progress/prospects – there is more sediment to be removed yet! We decided that was enough digging, climbed out of the pot and dragged the filled bags along the narrow and constricted passage to the small chamber at the bottom of the slope where we left them for another day. Exited the cave.
